I saw a square cloud
It was a perfect square
I never mentioned it out loud
Maybe I wasn’t even really there
Everybody is so annoyed
Walking around in their peculiar days
Either schizophrenic or paranoid
Living beneath that purple haze
Where the waves of fear are crashing over you
It’s a panic in your imagination
Next thing you know it’s a phobia
Personality skips a generation
You’ve been on your own for all these years
Living inside your little room
Filling up your closets with all your fears
Now you’ve got no place to put your broom
You walk down the street and people look at you
They might think you’re pretty strange
Let ‘em walk on by they haven’t got a clue
Nasty habits are so hard to change

I’m not afraid of cats
I’m not afraid of the number thirteen
I am afraid of rats, but it’s not a phobia
I only care if my hands aren’t always clean
Stare into the sun
I double dare you
Believe it or not living is really fun
Even if those little things scare you
Toss a stone and watch the ripple
Circular logic is to blame
Fear just makes you a cripple
I bet your Grandma was just the same
