I remember the mountains reflecting in the great salt lake
that crazy summer we hitch-hiked out west.
Sundown in the desert, firelight on your face,
that's the night I'll never forget.
By the light of the silver moon I was playing my guitar,
while you danced in circles under the stars and I thought

(CHORUS)
Somewhere in heaven they must miss you,
somehow you found your way to me
This world looks brighter than it used to,
and I want to spend the rest of my life watching you shine...shine

You take the ordinary and make it beautiful,
you can light up a room with the smile on your face.
Everyone who knows you feels the miracle,
you make the world a better place.
Last night it really hit me lyin by your side,
all the little ways your teachin me to fly.
And I thought...

(CHORUS)
Somewhere in heaven they must miss you,
somehow you found your way to me.
This world looks brighter than it used to,
and I want to spend the rest of my life watching you shine....shine

You're my inspiration, destination for all time.
When darkness blinds me your love finds me like a guiding star for my heart you shine... shine
And I know somewhere in heaven they must miss you,
somehow you found your way to me.
This world looks brighter than it used to,
and i want to spend the rest of my life watching you shine....shine....shine.
