Here's the story of a 16-year old
Who got caught in a hurricane
It took him with on a journey so bold

First stop was a sunlit valley
Where he made himself a new friend
She spent a summer with him
Together for days on end

A debate and a stupid answer
Set fire to the young girl's heart
The summer had to end and
The two would grow apart

Next stop was the nearest city
It was the first day of school
He saw a girl so insanely pretty
On a chair right across the room

The ground shook, he was struck by lightning
The two would sit and talk all day
But her beauty and her grace was blinding
Soon she had gone away

For a moment, the storm was calm
The boy thought about friendships past
Soft fingers running down his palm
Why couldn't the good times last?

But then the winds changed
He was back in his hometown
Somehow the hurricane
Had dropped him off at square one
