What is courage?
what does it look like?
it's standing up
it's the finger in the dike

it's beautifully silent
it creates change
it shakes the world
it's deliverance from pain

dig deep inside
your courage is here
it's pure freedom
the absence of fear

it's about facing yourself
or that arrogant clerk
that mountainous challenge
without being a jerk

it's those difficult dialogues
when you're expecting the worst
composure, compassion
it's valuing your worth

dig deep inside
your courage is here
it's pure freedom
the absence of fear

it's facing a bully
and standing so tall
it's not giving in
to what makes us small

courage is in front of you
it happens everyday
fearless and beautiful
it gently clears the way

dig deep inside
your courage is here
it's pure freedom
the absence of fear
