(Henry Paul/Dave Robbins)

Dear Lord, help us understand
Why you came and took him by the hand
And led him to his new home in the sky.

Our hearts weren't ready to let him go,
So this is our way to let him know that we miss him
And our love for him will never die.

Spirit dancer, he dances his way into our hearts
Spirit dancer, right beside us from the very start
Spirit dancer, spirit dancer, dance for me.

You can hear him singing every once in a while,
He's right beside us every mile we go,
Every town, every show.

Spirit dancer, he dances on the stars above
Spirit dancer, flying on the wings of love
Spirit dancer, spirit dancer, dance for me.

--- Instrumental ---

Way up high,
Where eagles fly to hear your harmony
Someday soon we'll all be there
So save a dance for me.

Spirit dancer, he dances his way into our hearts
Spirit dancer, right beside us from the very start
Spirit dancer, spirit dancer, dance for me.

Spirit dancer, he dances on the stars above
Spirit dancer, flying on the wings of love
Spirit dancer, spirit dancer, dance for me.

Spirit dancer, spirit dancer

Spirit dancer, spirit dancer dance for me
Dance for me
Dance for me
Dance for me
Dance for me
Dance for me...
