(J.MacRae - B.Morrison)

He'll never grace the pages of any magazines
And chances are you'll never see him on the silver screen
But, he's by far the biggest star, the world will never see
But, he don't shine for the rest of the world
He's too busy shining on me,

Shine on, shine on, shine on
The world may never see
Oh baby, won't you shine on, shine on
Shine on, all your sweet love on me.

He won't be asked for autographs like all the movie stars
And he won't wear the Paris fashions or ride in chauffeured cars
But, in his jeans, he's the handsome dream that they'd all like to be
But he don't shine for the rest of the world
He's too busy shining on me.

Shine on, shine on, shine on
The world may never see
Oh baby, won't you shine on, shine on
Shine on, all your sweet love on me.

Shine on, shine on, shine on
The world may never see
Oh baby, won't you shine on, shine on
Shine on, all your sweet love on me...
