There's no mistaking
The chances you're taking
Dancing in the dark

It's so exciting
With no electric lighting
Dancing in the dark

Why not stand a little longer
Maybe drinking something longer
Dancing in the dark

We could slip off all our clothes
Well no one's going to know
Dancing in the dark

Ooh! I wish that you could hear me
Or I could even talk
But the moment you're near
All my words disappear
As my confidence turns into fear

So I guess I'll stop dreaming
There 's no way of scheming
Dancing far apart

When the evening is ending
Just leave me pretending
Dancing in the dark

Ooh! I wish that you could hear me
Or I could even talk
But the moment you're near
All my words disappear
As my confidence turns into fear

There's no mistaking
The chances to taking
Dancing in the dark

It's so exciting
With no electric lighting
Dancing in the dark
Dancing in the dark
Dancing in the dark
