By the time you read this letter It´ll be over & passé
But now in this old Hotel it´s only millimeters away
I got a glass of bubbles here a Cohipa Piramides mon frére
a corporate suit & a black tie to wear....

Happy New Year, baby I love you
I wish you were here I´m feeling blue
But there´s always another chance, always another town
It seems like every time it comes around I´m alone
Happy New Year

London is on fire tonight like there was no tomorrow
& if we live to see the dawn we´ll be better off starting all over
I don´t believe in those dreams & maybe I am naive
But I believe in you & in me....

Happy New Year, baby I love you
I wish you were here I´m feeling blue
But there´s always another chance, always another town
It seems like whenever it comes around I´m alone
Happy New Year

The waitress stared me down when I sang my heart out...
But I sang...I sang for you

Happy New Year, baby I love you
Oooooh,I wish you were here I´m feeling blue

Happy New Year, baby I love you
Oooooh,I wish you were here I´m feeling blue
But there´s always another chance, always another town
It seems like whenever it comes around I´m alone
Happy New Year
