I'm going to take all my loneliness
I'm going to take all my pain
And wrap them up inside my memory
And never hear from them again
‘Cause there's a new day dawning
there's a new day dawning
there's a new day dawning
there's a new day dawning
and I think it's going to be all right
‘Cause I almost see the light of a new day

Got to throw away my protection
I won't be needing that no more
It's time to look out for perfection
I got to get outside my door
‘Cause there's a new day dawning
there's a new day dawning
there's a new day dawning
there's a new day dawning
and I think it's going to be all right
‘Cause I almost see the light of a new day

Stand up straight away
Meet the brand new day
Be careful what you say
It's in your mind you've got to pay

You've got to find another reason for examining your life
Are you into treason or is what you do all right?
‘Cause there's a new day dawning
there's a new day dawning
there's a new day dawning
there's a new day dawning
‘Cause I think it's going to be all right
And I'm sure I can see the light of a new day

There's a new day dawning
There's a new day dawning

Everybody meet the brand new day
Come on let me hear you say
There's a new day dawning
There's a new day dawning

I see a new light shining
I see a silver lining
There's a new day dawning
There's a new day dawning
