We were going through the motions
You know I need you tonight
Yesterday is over, I got the red eyes
And you are my sight

Hi, hi, give me a chance
Hi, hi, don't you know
Hi, hi, show me a picture
You got the word and you won't let go

Rumor, it's a rumor
Don't believe a story every time its told
Rumor, it's a rumor
All that glitters sure ain't gold

Got to be devotion
You know you're making me cry
Day is just beginning here comes the sun
You took my hand now you're waving goodbye

Give me a sign
All these words are just so unkind
Give me a second chance
Build it up this long romance

Hi, hi, give me a chance
Hi, hi, don't you know
Hi, hi, I heard a whisper
You got the word and you won't let go

Rumor
Rumor
All that glitters sure ain't gold
