I listen to the rain it's pourin' down.
I listen to my heart and its favorite sound.
I wonder if the rain on Mars hits the ground.
I wish you could be around.

I listen to the walls you've been talkin' to.
I listen and I listen but nothin's comin' through.
I thought I saw a face through the foggy dew.
I thought that it was you.

Letting go was the only thing to do.
Guess I'll never get used to this missin' you.
I listen to the sound fo the moonlit rain.
And I miss you Jane.

I listen to your voice inside my head.
Whisperin' all the words I remember you said.
There ain't a single moment that I regret.
Thank heaven that we met.

I listen to the sound of the storm inside.
There ain't no stoppin' this rage in my mind.
I'm tied up to the mast til the hurricane's died.
Where are you tonight.

I listen to the rain and the pain subsides.
Some tears never get the chance to leave the eye.
I wonder if the rain on Mars is dry.
I just wonder why.
