Jimmy Lafave, from "Highway trance"

I went driving, on the northern plains
I went rolling through the fields of grain
I thought about you, can't live without you, no matter how I try
There's something sacred the way the tears fall from your eyes

I went flying, in a big jet plane
Across the ocean, just to know your name
Island princess, it's my heart's concern, I should've never said goodbye
There's something sacred when the tears fall from your eyes

Let ‘em fall, let ‘em fall on me
Let ‘em fall, let ‘em set me free

I went dreaming, and I saw your face
And in that moment, I was touched by grace
And all alone now, I hear the wolves howl, and it makes me wonder why
There's something sacred when the tears fall from your eyes

It's always sacred, the way the tears fall from your eyes
There's something sacred the way the tears fall from your eyes
