pattern

the deeper my wrinkles get
the faster i always decide
the darker the shadows i fled
it´s you i feel close to all night

because every hour we shrink
together beneath the surface
and all of our faraway dreams
jump out in the light of our days

embraces and aches made us a pattern
inside arabesque love we are free
we´re an indestructable carpet
made of years
and made of you and me

our souls became two-in-one
we´ve interwoven our days
immortals we are but not shown
eternity´s cold frightful face

spread yourself
let´s build a body
kiss yourself
so that i feel your lips

embraces and aches made us a pattern
inside arabesque love we are free
we´re an indestructable carpet
made of years
and made of you and me
