I woke up to find her gone in the misty morning's light
Somewhere before the dawn she had taken flight
Well, you know there ain't no telling
Where that girl might roam
I seen it comin' so it came as no surprise
She had wild horses in her eyes
I could have followed but I'd had to follow way behind
Her soul was set on stampedin' across that borderline
A fool will always tell himself
What he wants to hear each time
She had an untamed look she never did disguise
She had wild horses in her eyes
Wild horses go unbroken
Wish my heart could say the same
But I couldn't hold on
To the reins of her love
Well I seen it coming
So it came as no surprise
She had wild horses in her eyes
She had wild horses in her eyes
She had wild horses in her eyes
