Well, why should I feel discouraged?
Why should the shadows come?
Well, why should my heart feel lonely?
And long for heaven and home

Yeah, when Jesus is my potion
A constant friend is He
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know He watches over me

Yeah I sing, I sing because I'm happy
Yeah I sing, I sing because I'm free, oh no
You know His eye is on, on the sparrow
And I know He's watching over me

You know I sing, I sing because I'm happy
And I sing, oh because I'm free
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know, and I know
I know He watches over me, yeah yeah
