This hill I said I'd climb
Is growing steeper and undefined
The road I thought I'd choose
Is overgrown by the past I tried to lose

[Chorus]
If I measure life as a year apart
I can't wait 'til halfway from the start
On the last day of June

The stories we love to tell
Are how we climb out of holes in which we fell
When half full just feels so rough
It still beats half empty sure enough

[Chorus]
If I measure life as a year apart
I can't wait 'til halfway from the start
On the last day of June
The last day of June
The last day of June
The last day of June

[Instrumental]

Turn off the breaks, keep feeling light
Make sure all those wrongs seem right
So we keep moving on
It can't come too soon
Light up the shade, fill up the hole
Forget your righteous self-control
So we keep moving on

It can't come too soon
It can't come too soon enough for me
The last day of June
It can't come too soon
It can't come too soon enough for me
The last day of June
