Well, I woke up this mornin'
I was feelin tired and used
Higher than a mountain top
Thanks to 90 proof
Well, there callin me all over town
Who cares what they think
Lord I left them all high and dry
Just to steal away and drink

I pulled a Hank last night
I really did it up right
I went a little to far
With the steal guitar
Under the neon lights
I got a little too loud
I got a little too proud
By the way things look
I pulled a Hank last night

I should be on the job site
What am I doin here
Yeah I'm all layed up
With a screaming guitar
Ringing in my ear

Just like my old hero
I never get enough
Like living at easy
Singing that hard stuff

I pulled a Hank last night
I really did it up right
I went a little to far
With the steal guitar
Under the neon lights
I got a little too loud
I got a little too proud
By the way things look
I pulled a Hank last night

REPEAT

I got the honky tonk blues
From my head to my shoes
I pulled a Hank last night!
