It's so hard to read unwritten words in an open book
Sometimes I try to read and can't see, although I look
My heart often guesses what you seem to want
Sometimes it's written clear, other times in a different font

And I know what my heart tells me, it's never thumped so loud
But I hold back my passion 'cause I'm afraid of its power
And if I spoke my heart to you, I don't know what I'll get back
So I tend to keep on waiting 'til I know we're on the same track
And doesn't it seem so crazy being too afraid to love

[Chorus]
It's so crazy being too afraid to love
It's so crazy when you're afraid to love
Don't be afraid to love
Don't be afraid to love
Don't be afraid to love
Don't be afraid to love

There's two paths we follow, both lead to what I want
Is it fair to be myself and say I want the best of both
Is one more important than the other or equally both the same
Because they intertwine so much, I wonder how we'll find

And I know what my heart tells me, it's never thumped so loud
But I hold back my passion 'cause I'm afraid of its power
And if I spoke my heart to you, I don't know what I'll get back
So I tend to keep on waiting 'til I know we're on the same track
And doesn't it seem so crazy being too afraid to love

[Chorus]
It's so crazy being too afraid to love
It's so crazy when you're afraid to love
Don't be afraid to love
Don't be afraid to love
Don't be afraid to love
Don't be afraid to love
Don't be afraid to love
Don't be afraid to love
Don't be afraid to love
Don't be afraid to love

[Chorus]
It's so crazy being too afraid to love
It's so crazy when you're afraid to love
Don't be afraid to love
Don't be afraid to love
Don't be afraid to love
Don't be afraid to love
Don't be afraid to love
Don't be afraid to love
Don't be afraid to love
Don't be afraid to love
