Settle The Score

Written by: Lenny Deneb

Love's gonna get you
It's gonna get you every time
Love's gonna get you

Johnny is leaving today
said he's got to getaway
from this small town mentality
He's got a plan, yeah
The name of a man
who pass this way some time ago
and so Johnny I hope you find
What you're searching for
I wish you all the luck in the world
for it takes a man to walk
out the door
But I remember the day when the
747 touched down
Hewanorra was basking in the
sunshine
Said you believe in the Holy Ghost
and you're not gonna settle
for life's worse, and so I know
You're gonna settle the score

Now there's a rumour
that Johnny is getting away
or was that running away
You see it's that kind of
small town mentality that
imposes yeah on human dignity
and so Johnny I hope you
find what you're searching for
I wish you all the luck in the world
for it takes a man to walk
out the door
But I remember the day when the
747 touched down
Hewanorra was basking in the sunshine
Said you believe in having fun
and not in the power of the gun
and so I know
You're gonna settle the score

BREAK

Johnny is leaving today
said he's got to getaway
from this small town mentality
He's got to settle the score
Seek the Kingdom that's for sure
oh that's for sure
And so Johnny I hope you find
what you're searching for
Seek the Kingdom and all
these things shall be added
onto you boy
The sun shall not harm you by
day, nor the moon by night
ooh by night
And so Johnny I hope you find
What you're searching for
