أإخواننا الموت قد حال دوننا *** وللموت حكم نافذ في الخلائق
وأعلم أن الكل لا بد لاحقي
بعيشكم أو باضطجاعي في الثرى *** ألم تَكن في صفوٍ من العيش غابط
فمن مر بي فليمض بي مترحما *** ولا يكن مَنسيا وفاء الأصادق

Brothers (addressing them) death has prevailed before us,
and death has an obeyed power amongst the people.

And know that everyone will follow.

Is it in your life or in my laying down in the mud (grave),
that comfortable life is?

So whoever passes by me (my grave) go away with blesses (Pray),
and don't forget the loyalty of good friends.
