Here it is again, Monday mornin'
And I've really got the blues
But it don't much matter, I've got no need to smile
And I don't think I will for quite a while

It might as well stay Monday from now on
'Cause it seems that the only one I've ever loved is gone
And it just might as well stay Monday from now on

Go away, Mr. Sun, I can't use you
Brighten someone else's life
Let the darkness hide me and carry off my pain
There's nothin' you can do to make things change

It might as well stay Monday from now on

'Cause it seems that the only one I've ever loved is gone
And it just might as well stay Monday from now on

BREAK

Let the darkness hide me and carry off my pain
There's nothin' you can do, nothin' you can do,
Nothin' you can do to make things change

So, it might as well stay Monday from now on
'Cause it seems that the only one I've ever loved is gone
(repeat and fade out)
