You saw me crying in the chapel
the tears i shed were tears of joy (sweet tears of joy)
i know the meaning of contentment
now i'm happy with the Lord, yes i am

just a plain & simple chapel
where humble people go to pray
i pray the Lord that i'll grow strong, stronger
as i live from day to day, yeah, yes i do

oh, i've searched, & i've searched but i just couldn't find
no where on earth to gain peace of mind

OH-HOOOO!

take your troubles to the chapel
get down on your knees & pray
yes, your burdons will be lightened
& you'll surely find a way

(find a way) yes you will
(surely) surely
(find a way) surely find a way
(surely) find, surely
(find a way) in the chapel
(surely)
(find a way) yes you will
(surely)
(find a way, find a way) in the chapel
(surely)
