(Jim Owen)

I tried so hard to make you love me
And all along your love's been dying
I'll let you go because there's nothing I can do
What's the use in just me trying?

I'd give the world just to hold you
If you could say you love me without lying
I know there's no chance for us to ever love again
What's the use in just me trying?

Goodbye may God will walk with you
I'll still love you when I'll lay dying
My world will end with the closing of the door
What's the use in just me trying?

--- Instrumental ---

I'd give the world just to hold you
If you could say you love me without lying
I know there's no chance for us to ever love again
What's the use in just me trying?

What's the use in just me trying?...
