I never liked you
Since you showed me a picture of you and her on a rock in Latvia
Since your mother came round to check me out as an old path trodden

You're forgiven but not forgotten
These misgivings leave me rotten

It's hard to look at German politicians
Without a thought for Israeli Olympians
The morning never came for them

Forgiven but not forgotten
These misgivings leave me rotten

When you never showed up
And I expected that much from you
My expectancy soon turned to misery

Forgiven not forgotten
These misgivings leave me rotten

And the devil he walks alone……
