I don't get why we need women bishops
Looking at me some of you seem appalled
I don't get why we need women bishops
But then I don't get why we need bishops at all

Just right now, I'm not here to bash the bishops
On this occasion I really gotta say
It's the bishops trying to move things forward
And it's the faithful who are getting in the way

What does it say about your church
When it's the old men in the nighties being progressive
And the flock resist
Who'd have thought an institution just created
So the King could shag about would be misogynist?

I don't get why we need women bishops
This isn't really my problem, I can tell
If I'm not going to listen to bishops with willies
I should be allowed to ignore bishops with boobies as well
