I've been gone so long, I'll explain it in this song
The only time you ever see me
Is when you decorate the Christmas tree

I've been gone so long, I'll explain it in this song
The only time you ever see me
Is when you decorate the Christmas tree

Going restless, 15 minutes I'll be touching down
Finally back in town to unpack my bags and settle down

I'm coming home for Christmas,
I'll be home real soon and I'm getting anxious

I'll be sleepin' in and hangin' with my friends
Watering the family tree, keeping my favorites company
Checking my list twice, who's been naughty, who's been nice
Shop accordingly, buying gifts for friends, family and me

I'm coming home for Christmas,
I'll be home real soon and I'm getting anxious

Coming home, so don't you worry, maybe if I'm lucky, I'll be early
