Countdown's starting, now the goin's gettin? rough
I give you my lovin? but I guess it ain't enough
Once upon a time you were proud I was your man
Now your low on affection and I get it when I can
When your friends all visit and they see me comin? through
There's a voice from the crowd sayin?
"who the hell are you? ? i'm just a part of the scenery here with you
A thorn in your rose, kinda spoilin? the view
I'm part of the scenery. whatcha gonna do about me?

Wanna be strong, try to put you in your place
I show a little love, get the sand in my face
I try to get up, always something goin? down
Caught in the middle of your merry go round

The wise men say I should leave well alone
But the same wise men just call when you are home
I'm just a part of the scenery here with you
A thorn in your rose, kinda spoilin? the view
I'm part of the scenery. whatcha gonna do about me?
