I witnessed time flying right by us and it's speed was alarming
pages torn right out of calendars oh how the winter leads to spring
naivity turns into wisdom "take a bite" he said and she did
but knowledge always comes at a price oh we were young and so innocent

But that was then and this is now things have changed
and in the end we'll realize they stayed the same

Our hourglass is filled with sand quickly dripping
to the bottom ohh ohhh(2x)

I witnessed time creeping right by us and it went as quick as it came

clocks started speeding up rotation oh all our wasted days were ashamed
into knowing too much "have it all" he said and she did
but knowledge always comes at a price oh we were young and so innocent

But that was then and this is now things have changed
And in the end we'll realize they stayed the same

Our hourglass is filled with sand quickly drippin to the bottom ohh ohh(2x)

Take a seat please close your eyes and take a little
time to realize what we want out of life we already have(2x)

Our hourglass is filled with sand quickly drippin to the bottom ohh ohh(2x)
