The Forest In The Trees

I fell into a fitful sleep
Deep in my dream world again
Cloaked in a shroud of mystery
Waiting for the end to begin

Awaken from that sleepless dream
Fly fast into that dark night
Confront all your demons and fears
Chase them out into the light

I wish everyone could perceive
That truth is no evil disease
Look deeply and try to believe
You can see the forest in the trees

At times it all seems like a dream
Disguised as reality
But I know in my heart of hearts
That we have never been free

Chained by the laws of god and men
To keep us in check and at bay
Meant to keep us safe and secure
So we can have nothing to say
