(CHORUS)Before this time another year, I may be gone,
Its our lonesome graveyard, oh lord how long?

God sent Noah, the rainbow sign,
said no more water the fire next time. (CHORUS)

God sent Gabriel, Behind the alter,
pick up your trumpet, begin to blow it,
i want ya to blow it, nice and even,
Pick up your children, lay down your sleeping
Wake up them sinners, they roll on under(CHORUS)

Wake up my preacher, lay down their sleeping,
Wake up my deacon, lay down your weeping
Wake up my memory, lay down your trembling,
Wake up them children, lay down their sleeping (CHORUS)
