Woke up Tuesday morning to a cold December ray
Went to get in the shower for another long school day
Sleepwalking to the bathroom, when I heard my momma scream
Two words that were in my dreams

Snow day, lets play, no school today
Let's have a party on the front lawn
I'll go sledding with my Mom
Bring your saucer or a garbage can
We'll find Frosty the Snowman
Snow day, lets play, no school today

After the big announcement
No way was I going back to sleep
Throw on some mittens and moon boots on my feet
Snowball fights with neighbors
Bundled up like an Eskimo
A snowman in the yard
Beware of the yellow snow

Snow day, lets play, no school today
Let's have a party on the front lawn
I'll go sledding with my Mom
Bring your saucer or a garbage can
We'll find Frosty the Snowman
Snow day, lets play, no school today

Now time is running out
The day is almost done
I can't believe that soon
Will be the end of my snow fun
Well I'll get busy now
Excuse me will you please
Tomorrows another day
So I'm gettin down on my knees
