Her eyes drift from wall to wall, as she wades through the neon fog
Searchin' for a stranger's company
The ring on the finger of her left hand
Is the ghostly remains of a wedding band
Cause the one at home no longer fills her needs

And if misery loves company, she'll find it here tonight
Where broken hearts reside on every sleeve
Somewhere she's doin' someone wrong, but for now it feels right
It ain't love, and it's not meant to be, when misery finds company

He orders another double, playin' single is no trouble
As he sits alone at a table set for two
He's been watchin' her for awhile
So he puts on his best smile
As their eyes meet, as she glides across the room

And if misery loves company, they'll find it here tonight
Where broken hearts reside on every sleeve
Somewhere they're doin' someone wrong, but for now it feels right
It ain't love, and it's not meant to be, when misery finds company

Somewhere they're doin' someone wrong, but for now, it feels right
It ain't love, and it's not meant to be, when misery finds company
When misery, finds company
