You found a new love and I found one too
Yours is an old boy friend but mine is mountain dew
Friends say you're happy and I'm happy sometimes too
You're happy with your new love and I'm happy with my mountain dew
Cause it helps me forget about you
It seems we couldn't get along for even those few short moments
That we were together oh I know

You'll never be the one for me but darling I could have loved you forever
You found a new love and I found one too
You're happy with your new love and I'm happy with my mountain dew
Cause it helps me forget about you yes I'm happy with my mountain dew
